I hear Denver has a store named Great Indoors.
Can anyone give me their opinion on the store.
I know they have a website, but I was just curious to what you all think of the products & prices.
I'm going to be visiting in Dec.

Thanks

I've never been to one in Denver (I thought they closed all Denver locations?) but I've shopped at a couple in California. I thought they had great products and high prices. I believe the bedding I bought there for a King bed (including down comforter, duvet cover, 900 thread count sheets, and pillows was over $800. But it's all really comfy and has held up well

I looked it up... there is one in Lonetree. I think there was one in Westminster before. But apparently they shut down all stores in California.

They can be pricey...but they also carry some brands that may not be easily found elsewhere. I've purchased a few appliances there because I wanted a specific brand that was not available at other, big box stores (Bosch dishwasher for example).

They're closing the Broomfield location, according to this article there will still be one in Lone Tree.

The Great Indoors closing its doors at Broomfield's FlatIron Marketplace

BROOMFIELD -- The Great Indoors is shuttering its Broomfield store in a move that will not only darken one of the largest retail spaces in the FlatIron District, but also potentially turn the FlatIron Marketplace shopping center's vacancy woes into a nightmare.

A liquidation sale is expected to start Friday at The Great Indoors' nearly 155,000-square-foot store off U.S. 36, said Kimberly Freely, a spokeswoman for parent company Sears Holdings Corp. The local store is expected to close in mid-December and vacate its space by the end of the year, she said Thursday.

Freely declined to provide the specific reasons for the closure of the 58-employee store, adding Sears Holdings' normal course of business is to evaluate its retailers on a store-by-store basis. The Great Indoors store in Lone Tree -- the home furnishings retailer's only other Colorado store -- remains operational, Freely said. . .

We went to the one in Lone Tree and is seemed WAY overpriced. We found a stainless steel refrigerator in there for $3,500. We found the EXACT same refrigerator at Home Depot for $900 less.

They did have some nice stuff, and as somebody mentioned they did have some higher end furniture and such that you might not find elsewhere.

But in my opinion, it wasn't that great of a store. We haven't been back since the one time we went there.

My wife made a joke about The Great Indoors, saying "it's where the rich people go to get buy their overpriced furniture and not have to shop alongside us peasants." LOL.

It's basically like a larger version of Sears, but without the clothes, jewelry, and auto center. I've been to the one in Lone Tree a few times, but I don't consider it to be anything special.
