Hey all! I'm heading to Denver Aug 27th-Sept 4th to attend a conference and enjoy the city. Would really appreciate any insider advice on things to do and see... locals know it better than any website!

I'm 23 and I like concerts, museums, gardens, art, hiking, mom-and-pop places, etc... things I know I can find in Denver Would appreciate your feedback!

Nicole

There is a King Tut exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. (Downtown)
The Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Zoo are both excellent (City Park/East of Downtown).
The Denver Botanic Gardens are great to visit (East of Downtown)
There are too many hiking trails to list close by in the mountains, but you might want to visit Red Rocks park and Amphitheatre (there are even several concerts while you are here - some or all might be sold out).
There are several brewpubs in the downtown area.
There are several places to hear live music in the downtown area as well.
The Rockies play the Dodgers and the Phillies while you're in town if you are a baseball fan.
The Broncos play a preseason game against the Steelers the 29th if you are a football fan.

When will you be here? How many rooms do you need? What part of town do you want to stay in? There are specials all the time and you can get a decent chain motel for $50 -$75 night.
