Does anyone have any experience with capano homes? I really like their floor plans and I was interested in purchasing one of the homes, but I wanted some feedback first from someone who had experience with them or know someone who has.

Capano built Londonderry (townhouses by Brandywine Town Center). It was built 30 years ago, but those townhouses have structural issues. Construction methods or quality control within the company could have improved over those years.

I can give some real feedback, but this is a public forum.

If you purchase from them, have a lawyer go over the paperwork with a fine tooth comb.

There are many many builders to choose from. Ryan, Pulte, Handler, Blenheim are just a few with better reputations.

This always reminds me of the Ann Marie Fahey case. We were living in Philadelphia at the time and this case was a high profile case.
That poor girl, I always felt so bad.

Same here, elizamary. That case was highlighted on TrueTV a few times.

Tom Capano was an attorney who was related ,one of the brothers, I think, of this builder. Do a google on Thomas Capano and you'll get more info than you want. As someone who is new to the area, you may not be familiar with this tragic case. You should make an informed decision on your new purchase.
We also considered these homes as they were in nice neighborhoods and the samples were lovely. We declined pursuing for many reasons.

The Baldinis are good people to buy from. They have homes in Hockessin.

OP .... thanks for coming back to your thread w/feedback.... it was not clear whether you regret that you bought from Capano or you regret you listened to people on the forum.
