Retiring and moving to Lewes area in September. Hard to find reasonable rentals. The few apartments that are there are like $1400 a month. Would love a 1 or 2 bedroom apt or condo. Any suggestions?

Are you looking for a rental for a period of time before you buy a home or are you planning on renting indefinitely? Would a furnished rental be OK or does it need to be unfurnished?

Once you get inland 10 - 15 miles where it takes 30+ minutes to get to the beach the prices will go down.

And if you get even closer to the water, say around Cape Henlopen or Lewes Beach, summer rentals can be more like $3,000+ per week!

Tough to find year round rentals near the beach, I have a 3bdr, 2.5 bath home in Ocean View I could rent out for $1200 a month all year or rent it out for $250 a night during the summer. I can make more $ doing the summer thing leaving it vacant for 8 months of the year.

True but many communities do not permit nightly rentals, like mine. All rentals must be long term. So keep looking.
