It has been quite a while since I bought a new car, but we just got two new vehicles and it appears that the titles expire in three years. I have never seen that. Is this something new to bring in more revenue? I have never seen a vehicle title expire. Anyone have information on this?

Are you sure you are talking about the title as opposed to the registration?

Yes, it is definitely the title. I have never heard of this and did not see anything on DMV's website. I think I will be making a trip to DMV this week. I am hoping that this is just a clerical error, but the bottom of the title has the transfer when I get ready to sell.

Just received clarification from the car dealer. In Delaware, everything that is on the registration is reflected on the title.

Glad you got that cleared up. Please do not give them any new ideas!
