March 23 is Free Pastry Day at Starbucks. Go to Starbucks Coffee Company to get your coupon. I think you have to purchase a drink, but if you normally get their morning beverages, this is a great deal.

You know....they really are. It is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for coffee and it always surprises me how many of my coworkers go there before work. I bring my own coffee in a nifty thrifty thermos.

But if they are giving away a free pastry....I'll spring for it.

But you do know that they're not homemade - they come frozen in a box, and they're defrosted overnight. I used to work as a security guard in a shopping center that had a Starbucks on one end, an Einsteins bagels on the other end, and a Jamba Juice in the middle. I used to see the boxes that the frozen pastries from Starbucks in the trash all the time.

You have to buy a drink, and it ends at 10:30am. Not worth the hassle.
