Nice to see updates here Camper! I think the shopping threads have quieted down so much over the past few months that many of the ole regulars barely stop by.
I keep scouring the web and on the very rare occasions that I find a freebie or a great deal I make a point of sharing here. (but sadly there is so little that I find).
Well, enjoy!
I think I told ya'll we laid our sweet Bailey to rest a short time ago. Poor Baxter has been so lonely. Sooooooo....
I got him a puppy!!!! She's adorable. She is 1 1/2 pounds and is a Shorkie ( ****zu-yorkie) and is sooooo sweet and small. It's like holding a hamster. I am so in love with her already. Her body is Blackish grey with a few white spots but all four of her itty bitty feet ate white and she has blue eyes, when they are open. We have named her Charlotte.
This will be my last puppy so I have really enjoy her I guess.
Just thought I would share some good news in this sad sad world.
When Bob was alive and posting about freebie magazine subscriptions, I got 59 magazines every month due to his posts: Ladies Home Journal, Better Homes and Gardens, The Atlantic, Coastal Living, Womens Day, Weight Watchers, This Old House, Redbook, Readers Digest, Smithsonian, Good Housekeeping, Watch, First For Women, Family Circle, Family Handyman and so many more. Many of the freebie subscriptions have expired now, so I get only about a dozen or more each month. But, every time one arrives in my mailbox, I think of Bob and what a treasure he was to this forum.
And my Better Homes and Gardens subscription isnt due to expire until 2031 so I'll continue to have many more times of remembering Bob.
Here are two photos of Camper's new sweetie Charlotte. She looks so huggable!
My sweetie!!!! Things are going great with the two dogs. They have learned how to play and Baxter no longer trys to eat her!! She is a quick one, she can turn on a dime. She Is really giving him a run for his money!!

I'm usually more of a big-dog person, Camper, but Charlotte is SO cute that I'd love to have a pup like her!

Oh, I always say once you've had a small dog that's all you want. My Bruiser was a whopping 4 1/2 pounds when he died at almost 18. We were hopping Baxter would be a little smaller but he's topped out at 12 pounds. She should be a little smaller ( I hope). Now, mind you I don't go looking for designer dogs. These are not registered, not even close. There are mutts someone has put a label on. What asked what breed either of them have been, I smile and say mine.
I've kept small dogs for friends occasionally. Once I kept two toy poodles for a while summer while their owner traveled all over Europe. They weighed about 5 pounds each, but they thought they were 10 feet tall. They bossed my two male dobermans around without mercy. When I bathed them and saw how really tiny they were soaking wet, I was nervous about their being around the dobermans because I worried about the big dogs accidentally stepping on them. But that never happened and I think my dobermans missed them when their owner came back.
