Drizzled all day yesterday and most of today. It was wonderful! And the prediction is for more drizzle all this coming week.

Some areas of the city have been flooded. I wouldnt mind that for a day or so since I dont have to get out but I feel bad for those who have to go to work.

It's been raining here for over 24 hours and I love it. It's not heavy but it is constant. We need this all over the state. I'm glad y'all in Houston and San Antonio are getting wet. I think y'all needed it more than we did in north central Texas.

Camper, I'll bring the cornbread to eat with the stew.

What a beautiful day here!!! 55 and drizzly!!! I have just been so lazy all morning. Got all the doors and windows open, sitting here with a nice soft cuddly blanket, the lap top and a dog. No idea where the other dog is. Under something warm for sure. Catching up on some tv and listening to the birds outside. So why is it my mind keeps going to memories of my mom and sister? A bitter sweet day for sure.

Tfw and Ketabcha ( and everyone else in texas!), I sure hope you guys are getting some rain. We got a little over and inch Sunday and 3/4 and inch already just this morning.

After the off-and-on weekend of wonderful light rain/drizzle, my area had no more precipitation until today -- when we got a little more light rain. And the cool weather that blew in overnight is amazing. It was 65 all day here. The coolness and the drizzle reminded me of Seattle. I left my windows and back door open and enjoyed this lovely weather.

OMG, I love, love, love this cool weather. I've been able to keep my back windows and back french doors open for three days now. (I have one of those Phantom retractable screens to keep the birds and critters out.) This weather almost makes up for all those three-digit days this past summer.

Wow, what a storm we had this morning. The rain was blown around by a strong windstorm and was actually falling horizontally. I have great weatherstripping around my exterior doors but inside every one of them was a huge puddle of water. And some of my very heavy (70+ pounds) patio planters were blown over. But I didnt lose electricity (many in my area did) and my yard did get some much-needed water, at least for a little while. And it blew in another cool front.

My little cat, Tammy, died yesterday and I'm a wreck. I miss her so much. She was such a joyous presence in this house.

Oh, I'm so very sorry, Ketabcha. Would you be willing to share some info with us? I'd love to hear what color she was, how old she was, what cute things she did -- stuff like that.
