Is this score a combination of reading and math? It's been a while since I took the SAT, but it looks like there are 3 sections - reading, math and writing (which when totaled would be higher than these scores)

Coppell isn't on the above list - but the TEA site has the combined reading and math score at 1118 for the class of 2008.

Also, the Coppell ISD site also has a release that the class of 2009 had an increase over 2008 and the highest score in the district's history

Yeah, I guess they are only counting reading and math. I couldn't find anything to say what happened to writing. Thanks for Coppell. I will add it.

I thought the Fort Worth ISD had problems but its average was 944 compared to Dallas 856. Overall I don't personally feel the SAT really gives a true estimate on how a student will perform in college. I have always felt how an individual perform in the classroom is the best indicator on how the student will perform in college. The most determined students will suceed regardless of how they perform on the SAT.

And people wonder why everyone says Plano and the northern suburbs are better than the southern ones. The proof is in the pudding.

No need to bash the Southern suburbs but I am impressed with the Fort Worth Independent school district. For a inner city school district the scores weren't half bad.

Are there any charts/statistics for the percentage of students taking AP tests and then how many of those AP tests passed w/a 3,4 or 5 for these schools?

Lewisville ISD has done great and i am particularly impressed with Flower Mound High School in Lewisville ISD. As the largest exemplary high school in Texas, their average SAT score of 1124 places them among the top fews.
