Look for rooms for rent on Craigslist. May be some people may be willing to rent a room in this hard time. Or post a request for a room to rent too.

Budget suites in Lewisville, TX will get you started for a few weeks. I know people that stayed there. You can stay as long as you like. Reviews say it is not great, but the relatives liked it, had no problems, met lots of really nice people, room was clean and thought it was fine. They allow pets, have a nice pool for summer time. Have maid service, and an amenable staff, etc. They have smoking and non-smoking rooms. The place is always packed, so make reservations in advance. It is in a very convenient location. I would recommend checking it out, but at least it would get you through a few weeks while you look for something more permanent. I'm sure there are 3 month leases at local apts in the area.

Hope this helps.
