Hi there. Just wondering where (in the DFW area) are the places to get a good cup of coffee and/or to buy a bag to brew at home (other than starbucks, ect).
Thanks.

Cafe Brazil is amazing. There are four or five of them in Dallas.

I wouldn't discount doing it at home, though. The disease progresses like this:
* brewing coffee
* brewing good coffee
* grinding your own beans
* roasting your own beans

I do not have this sickness (although I do own a french press and think it makes great coffee) but I have friends that do. My own disorder involves grinding grains and standing over boiling pots of what will become beer...

Next will be raising and picking your own beans in the wilds of Venezuela.

Say hi to Juan Valdez.

Every time I've been to a Cafe Brazil (2 different ones) the coffee in the the canisters has been lukewarm and very average. Maybe I just went at the wrong time of day?

I'm not much of a fan either, but many people like the place.

Too bad. I've been to deep elum and oak lawn, both after hours and after the sun comes up... coffee was always hot and good. The Mexican omelet's the best.
