It's not hard or expensive to do if you have natural gas service already.

Yep.... Wylie Propane, or Wylie Butane on some of the signs. East side of 78 but South of FM544 intersection.

05-31-2014 Went to turn on gas grill today for 1st time this season and found I was empty. ( 5:00 pm Sat night ) I used to go to Thurstons at Parker & 75 in Plano, but it's a 7-11 (?) now and I don't believe they do propane refills anymore.
And I couldn't find a phone # for them. Checking phone books roughly showed U-Haul in area. I checked the web and stumbled across this post, which thankfully mentioned Wells Brothers in Plano. I found their number and called them, they were still open till 6:00 pm and I was able to get filled.

Wells Brothers ( the pet, lawn, garden, feed store ) is at SE corner of Spring Creek Parkway and Ave K, just south of Sams Club on Ave K.
They were $2.75 ( $1.24 cheaper than U-Haul ) a gallon for the propane, and my 20# tank took 4.5 gals and with tax it cost me $13.39 total.
In and out in 10 mins and the people there were real nice.

U-Haul was going to charge me $3.99 a gallon, which, plus tax, would have ended up to be $19.44. So I saved $6.00 going to Wells Brothers ! Plus they were a lot closer than U-Haul.

Thank you Greyfeather for the Wells Bros mention !

Good! You might want to invest in an additional tank. I have an extra and it sure comes in handy. I might not go get the empty one filled immediately, but I don't wait too long (don't want to forget about it!), so I always have a back-up.

I think most grocery stores will exchange them (Albertson's, HEB, etc.) but I take mine to the local propane place here in town and it's cheaper doing it this way. Pays to check around for prices. Glad you found a good place to buy yours.
