I wanted to know about their preschool program. How much does it cost/any qualifications? I know they have one, but their site doesn't give any information of it.

Check out the DISD website to see what ways you qualify for preschool...

You pretty much need to be on free lunch to get into that pre-K. There are a ton of great preschools in the area, but they're not free and they all have waiting lists, so to get in you need to start talking to them a year ahead of time. The ones I hear the most about are Zion Methodist, Wilshire Baptist, and Ridgewood Methodist. There are a ton more, and some on the other side of the lake, like Children's Center and Learning Tree.

Good luck!

Another great preschool is the Science School at the Museum of Nature and Science in Fair Park. Both of my kids went there and were well-prepared for K.

You'll be seeing me too!
She was director of Public Projects there for years, until becoming a 5th grade teacher a year or two ago. You may have been before, and after her. She is also a charming person, my ex-fiance, and smart as a whip (the ex part proves it )
