I was just wondering if anybody had opinions on which energy company to choose. Specifically does anybody have any experience with Reliant Energy or Simple Power?

Reliant is $.12/kwh + $/4.50/mo and has a 24 month locked in contract with a $295 cancellation fee.

Simple Power is $.11/kwh variable rate.

Thanks for your help. We can't wait to be there, only about a week and a half left now.

Oh wow do you mean in TX you have choices for energy? So is it the same for all utilities, gas and electric? We only have So Ca Edison and one gas company last I checked. Having choices will be great!

I use Gexa and I am on the variable plan. I have been satisfied compared with TXU. I like variable because I feel I am getting a good rate and have the flexibility of changing to another company at any time.
