I have been with Reliant for 4 years and have wanted to switch since day 1! Reliant customer service is polite, but they won't fix your problems. They told me when I switched I wouldn't have a deposit and then charged me one. I paid my bill online, Reliant's system said it could not process it, so I paid with a credit card. Reliant then deducted 3 payments of $222 out of my accounts and would not refund it. They gave me the run-around for a week, before I had to take the issue up with my bank. It is still not resolved. They have lots of "rules" why they can't help. I asked for my payment date to be moved because I only get paid once a month and kept paying my bill late. They said they couldn't move it until I had a history of paying on time. They wouldn't offer me a lower bill even after asking for many months. Then later said yes only if I had contract. They wouldn't give me average billing when I switched until I was with them for many months even though they knew what my bill was with the previous electric company. Don't pick Reliant!
