I have lived in McKinney for 9 years. The total time to drive in Rush hour to the Parker station is about 30 mins. Then you have to add the train time into downtown. I would not do it. I have lived in the Dallas area for over 20 years and it is just not worth it (the drive, I mean) Find yourself a closer place to live. Life is too short to spend all that time in traffic/commuting. I live in McKinney but work in a rural city.We rarely, go into Dallas because of all the awful traffic. Everything is right here in town in McKinney. I used to drive into Coppell everyday and it was a nightmare. I quit that job and stayed home for a year then I found this great job east of here. My drive involves driving down 380 going east and looking at all the beautiful ranch land with lots of trees and cows!! No traffic!! (everyone is going the opposite way) Why not find a job in the McKinney area or north of it? There are plenty of jobs in Plano too. Just an idea.
