Hello Beautiful people of Dallas. I will like to know if this is a safe area to live. I want to stay around Las Colinas, Valley ranch and this seem to be the only one within my range with no crazy, disturbing reviews.

Address is 3146 W. Northgate Dr.
Irving, TX 75062.

Thanks.

Its not a terrible area, apartments in that area are on the older side, but I know that area well and wouldn't be concerned about walking outside in that area; its very near the elementary school and Victoria park where I have walked many times.

I live here. Or just up the street; I consider this my neighborhood. It's pretty darned safe - I walk around at all hours of the whatever and feel zero safety issues except the occasional teen taking neighborhood streets too quickly.

That said, that's a VERY specific address. I know folks who have lived in the apts on the north side there, and who are living on the south side there currently. Strongly recommend the complex on the southern side. The north-side complex, I know two different people who dealt with really serious mold issues that the landlords simply refused to address. Not anecdotal, either -- I helped one of them move what was salvageable (!!) of her things out of said complex and put the rest in the dumpster before she left and moved across Northgate...and was vastly happier.

Otherwise, if they've fixed that issue, you can ALWAYS see kids playing outdoors in that neighborhood, and they look happy. I'd ask pointedly about the maintenance for your unit, but if it looks good I'd consider it safe.

Thank you for the response. I was there today and they suddenly don't have the unit they told me on the phone was available. Are there any apartments around there you can recommend? My budget for now is $750 max.

try Hackberry Creek apts. Good location. 1BR/1BA

Also check Parkridge in 75063 at 1000 San Jacinto

And there's also Huntington Ridge at 4220 Esters Rd

Check out Knightsbridge at 5342 Bond -- they advertise units at $729 and are very nice

Walnut Hill has property crimes in an around its apartments but yes, it's generally considered safe otherwise.
