Hi! Firstly, thanks for taking the time to read and reply to this

I am relocating to Dallas from Atlanta, and have previously lived in Austin. I'll be working in North Dallas (near the Park Central area) and have been looking at three different areas to live in - Addison, North Dallas and Uptown. I will be a 23 year old young professional, and don't know much about the area. My preference would be a park/greenery near by, but I know that's difficult to come by. Could I get suggestions about the pros/cons of each area, as well as safety issues? Uptown seems to be the furthest from work (~8-10 miles), would that be worth it?

I think you should come see all the areas before you decide ... When I was your age I lived in Addison. But if I were to do it again I would live in uptown .... Just be careful not to get caught up in the flashy lifestyle people try to falsely have that can get expensive and become wasteful.

Uptown has the greenery nearby too with Katy trail and white rock lake within a few miles.

Whoops forgot to mention if you would like to save some money then north Dallas is the cheapest place of the three.

Uptown is the happening place. If you are interested in a night life and being able to walk to shops, then it's Uptown. Otherwise there are nice apartments all over and some lovely areas near Northpark Mall. The Village Apartments are well located and are not terribly far from Park Central. I think yur commute will be better if you stay south of LBJ FRWY, which is the local name for hwy 635.
