I'm planning to start the process of home buying in next six months or so. I would like to know what are the common mistakes that Indian buyers make in DFW market. I would specially like to hear the perspective of realtors. Most of the input that I got so far is from my own community.

This is a huge generalization, but since you asked, Indians like to lowball. It's really irritating in a fast-moving market and it takes them losing many houses before they "get it". Yes, everyone wants a "deal", but in a seller's market, as a buyer, you just have to deal with it. If you want the house, offer a price you'll pay. Don't offer a price such and such below the asking price because you think you should, especially when many houses are obtaining multiple offers above asking price in the right neighborhoods and priced well.

Assuming that new is a synonym for good value.

They will buy anything as long as they get a deal.

Many buy some of the worst homes by the worst builders because they don't understand quality and you pay for that quality.

Homes are not produced on a Toyota assembly line but hand built.

Moderator Note: This thread is too racial, and CLOSED. It's perfectly fine to ask what typical homebuyer mistakes are, but let's not single out a specific nationality.
