south carolina- both of those could happen with any other system.

The router itself is not tied to FiOS, and I'll agree with you there- the router Verizon provides is terrible. The moment we had ours installed, I switched it out with a router of my choosing.

As for everything else, it worked great. The verizon install people were amazing and even installed two lines for us so we could create two "zones" for our house. This involved some crazy attic acrobatics. Our whole install was 8 hours, and they were eager and willing the whole time. It was surreal.

I've been running TW for a while and it has been fine. I expected disaster.

If the tiered pricing slows down the bandwidth abusers then I'm for it. Tragedy of the Commons and all that.
