All

I am a 23 year old male that is looking for a good place for youngprofessionals to live in Dallas. I currently live in Minneapolis so I amtrying to do a lot of research before I make my house finding trip later thismonth. I’ve been hearing a lot of different places to live like Addison,The Colony, Uptown, Downtown, Farmers Market...etc.

My budget is around 1100 a month and what I am looking for is somewhere thatisn't crazy noisy, good nightlife, young professionals from 20's to low 30's,and overall best location in terms of traffic. Any help would be much appreciated!

Where will your work be located? Most newcomers have no idea how huge the DFW metroplex really is. If you live too far away from where you work, it is possible to end up with an hour commute each way...

Where is your job? Uptown is the obvious choice but it can be pricey. Thats why I always recommend North Oak Lawn which is nearby but not as hectic nor as expensive. Look on streets like Hawthorne and Prescott near the Highland Park border. There are also some cool loft apartments in Deep Ellum.

ChristieP and TrueDat,

Thank you for your input so far! I'm actually a sales manager so Ill be working out of my apartment and traveling all around the Dallas area. That's why finding an apartment that's top notch is important because ill be working from home!

If you have any specific apartments in mind please throw them out there so I can do some searching.

I'd go with Addison or Las Colinas as both are central to the area.
