A while back we went to The Katy Trail Ice House with our dogs and a few friends.Although we have only been a few times since,we thought it was a great place to grab lunch.Happy to have the option close by in West Plano....

"Katy Trail caught on better than we could have ever imagined," Cramer said. "We recognized there's an opportunity there. Not everyone lives in the center of Dallas.Moderator cut: 1-2 sentences and link "

Hmm. Where exactly at Park & Preston would that be? I don't even remember a restaurant there named Bandito's.

I saw this on another forum. Apparently they just recently spent quiet a bit updating Bandito's right before this.

I think it was that building on Park, just a little bit east of Patrizios, that used to be a Potbelly at some point.

It's on the southside of Park between Preston and Ohio right next to 24 hour fitness which is being updated too.

Ah, I know where that is. I worked out once at that 24 Hour Fitness when I was still a member of that gym. It was OK, nothing great. One of the cleaner ones I've been to, but that's not saying much.

That's what I was thinking. The Katy trail is what makes the original one in Uptown special. It feels like a neighborhood bar, and people bring their dogs and meet up with neighbors.

It will be good for Plano. They don't really have anything like this, but it might need to be renamed to the Preston Road Ice House.

Why Plano is suddenly the center of attention for all kind of businesses? All the time I read about some one new moving here or see buildings being built or updated. Are we witnessing a new Silicon Valley in making?

It was reported that one of the owners of KTIH is also a principal of that Bandito's..Apparently wasn't performing up to projections so decided to change concept..betting we will see more of them in the area!

I agree that what makes it special is the location and it's walkability. Can't quite envision someone trekking down Park Avenue to have a few beers..
