I am looking to try and get a bit of extra help around the house given how busy I am getting and the summer months coming..

The biggest issue I am finding so far is some of the larger services are wanting to the tune of $200/mo to clean my 700 sq ft apartment. My mom pays half of that amount to have her 2000 sq foot house cleaned once a month.

Does anyone know of a reliable maid service that services the north Richardson area?

Feel free to PM me. I am looking for someone to come around once a month. I would be open to someone that works independently with a few great references as well.

Is your mom in Dallas? $100 seems extremely low for that size house. The service I use charges by the hour, but they don't service Richardson. Another company I always see in my neighborhood is Molly Maid. I bet they have service in your area.

We pay $150 total for 2X month on a little over 2000SF home so $200 for a 1X clean on a 700SF apartment seems excessive. We found our housekeeper through friends. If you can ask around in your neighborhood/ building, you'll probably find someone who does a great job, is trustworthy, and isn't working for one of the maid services like Molly Maids. I do have friends who have great experiences with maid services but I do think they cost more

My house is about 1800 sq ft and my lady charges me more than $150 a month.

Does your lady do a good job? I mean she obviously does, otherwise you'd find a new one. Would you mind sharing her details?

+1 We used to pay $200 for a 1200 sqft apartment 4X month. But that was a couple of years ago. I agree $200 for 700 sqft home 1X month is way excessive...

I will be honest, the best clean I ever got was from Molly Maid. I have not used Molly Maid in a couple of years. The last time I used them, they were 30 dollars an hour per maid. The experience I have had has been positive and I have used over the years many services.

Does your neighborhood have a Nextdoor website? You could find recommendations there.

This! Nextdoor is a great website to keep up with what is going on directly in your area and get recommendations on things like baby sitters, nannys, lawn care, repair men, maids, etc. There is also usually information on there about lost/found animals, crime, local events, garage sales, etc.
