I finally moved here after living in Atlanta for almost 4 years. I was working in Atl with my old job and had been trying to find a new job for greater opportunity but in the entire time I was there looking I got nothing. I only got 2 interviews the entire time there. So, I thought it was me until I found out the economy was really bad. I moved to Dallas and found a job within the first 3 weeks here. I love it here and the economy is much better. Also the city is growing right in front of you. There are highways being built more businesses coming and just expansion and growth all over. With the huge growth going where do you see the metroplex being in another 5 years? So happy I moved.

Welcome! I moved from ATL just over a year ago. Dallas is turning out to be a great city for us, although I do miss all the greenery in Atlanta and being able to escape to the North GA mountains. Hope you are able to settle in quickly.

Thanks I wish there were mountains here too but the greenery I can live without especially because where I'm originally from which is Mississippi because there I grew up in the greenery so a change from that part is fine with me saw too much of that. lol

Welcome to Texas, we may not be a tourist attraction but this is a good place to live and make a living.

Welcome to Texas! I moved here from ATL almost a year ago and things have been great!! I don't miss the greenery much either. Like you, I grew up with that in NC, so I'm use to it. I go back home now and feel like I'm in the movie Avatar LOL!

I moved here after 6 years in ATL and haven't regretted it once. You will hear that ATL is a "cooler" city than Dallas but that's really not the case. Dallas has a lot goin' on.

It's been wonderful and with my brother being out here made it that much sweeter. There's so much to do and there's always some celebrity in town every week performing so it's plenty of shows to attend. Oh and I've seen something I haven't seen anywhere in the past 7 years and that's signs everywhere here saying NOW HIRING lol.
