Want to add Cooper's in Ft. Worth Stockyards to the list. Their brisket is to die for. My almost vegetarian 10-year old son becomes a different person when we go out for some Texas BBQ.

Since you and your husband have chosen Bedford. I have been informed that Main street BBQ in
Euless is an good place. I think they are only open for lunch though. My choice is Angelo's in Fort Worth.

Sorry I posted this elsewhere, but magazines and blogs have praised Meshack's BBQ in Garland as one of the best bbq places in the state, and I have to agree. Haven't had better brisket other than the BBQ places in Lockhart and Snow's BBQ in Lexington, TX (hands down the best BBQ in the state, but only open Saturday mornings).

Meshack's is literally a shack in Garland, but well worth your time if you really like BBQ.
