Come on, read the thread. It's not that hard. I left out all magnets. It's not like Dallas is the only city with a magnet. If I move to Richardson, it doesn't mean my kids automatically get into a magnet. The same goes for Dallas. They have to be eligible, there might be a waiting list. I have to apply.

My motive is to provide facts to people who are looking to relocate in the Dallas area.

Actually, Richardson has very mediocre magnets compared to the DISD magnets.

BINGO!
It's all based on parent reviews. I can set up 100 different accounts and rate my fave schools with all 5 stars in every area and up their "great schools ratings". Big WHOOP-DE-DOO!

BTW, if we really want to inform those moving to the Dallas area about good schools why not let them know that the school w/ the highest pass rate for AP tests for white students is not in Collin County nor is it a DISD school.

I'm glad my property taxes are not going up up up. Why would I want that?

Twist the data? Where did I do that? I simply provided the TAKS test results, which is what greatschools.org does. I also provided the SAT/AP/IB/ACT score results of Woodrow Wilson and Plano West.

I'm 6'8" tall, so I don't think I have a Napoleon complex and I'd like to see you try to kick the crap out of me.

Who is the arrogant/hostile one in this thread? The one who says someone should kick the crap out of me, or the one who is providing a link to a site and posting the data?

It appears to me there are a couple of regulars on this forum who are from east Dallas and they are very defensive and they want everyone to think their part of town has no crime and excellent schools.

I gather this from the private messages I'm getting from people cheering me.

Again, greatschools.org is basing their rating on the TAKS test scores, not parent reviews.

Please post the school that has the best AP test passing rate for White students. I have no problem with facts/data. They are what they are.

Yes, and Texans are racist, dumb rednecks, huh? Generalize much?

I'm not "from California". I lived there 11 years.

What my motive is or where I'm from aren't really relevant to a school comparison thread that lists the ratings based on TAKS.

Gotta feeling his sole agenda is to tell us how the northern burbs are so much better than every place else.

I'm not from East Dallas. But I am able to objectively see many parts of the metroplex and have more of an understanding of the "under the covers" academic data in DISD than some Cali relo. Plano ISD is excellent. I have a long history of posting data in support of PISD. But there are also excellent schools and pockets of schools (ie, AP/IB clusters) in nearly every district, including DISD. To write the whole district of 200 schools and 200,000 students is a disservice to the schools and students who are academic superstars.
