Hello all! I started off this week having lost a pound and ended up not only gaining that pound back, but one more as well. I started off eating well, exercising, etc, but then I won free freshly baked sourdough bread everyday for a year (so I have been eating a lot of that), drank some sodas my evil husband brought into the house, and only made it to the gym twice. I am +1 for the week.

So, anyone have any little things they do that they find helps them lose a little extra weight when they want to? I believe someone previously mentioned they drink lots and lots of water. Any other tips?

How did everyone else's weightloss journey go this week?

I think a big thing is to cut out the soda and diet soda. Even though diet soda doesn't have sugar, the artificial stuff still tricks the body into thinking it had sugar, and releases insulin in the body which inturn, contributes to hunger and weight gain....Jeannie

Oops, I put this in the food journal.

I'm just going back and forth in my weight loss. I lose 2 pounds then I gain 2 pounds!

Well, I was waiting to post here in hopes that I'd lose a couple between yesterday and today. Unfortunately, I have to report a three pound increase this week (???), which leaves me at nothing gained, nothing lost from my starting point.

It's difficult to stay motivated when you eat healthy and workout, yet nothing happens, or worse yet, you gain. We're going to do it though...something is going to happen and it will just all start coming together.

ladies have any of you tried your "test clothes"
you may be losing inches even though the scale is "acting up"
try something on that was tight a few weeks ago, if it is loser this will give you a motivation lift

still holding at the 14 would like to love 7 more

Didn't lose a pound last week but I'm glad I didn't gain weight either!
At the moment I have sooooooo much to do I don't have time to eat. That's not very healthy because I don't even drink but what can I do???

Reducing (NOT eliminating!) my carbohydrate intake seems to be helping me.
Cut carb intake about in half.

Also, one thing that seems to help me deal with feeling hungry in between meals is to chew a spearmint or peppermint gum for awhile or just eat a peppermint. For some reason, that "minty" stuff seems to reduce hunger. I don't know why.
