It got nasty here when the storm moved through. Thunder and heavy rain. Channel 3 was monitoring it as it moved across the greater Hartford area. There were possible tornado warnings north of Hartford and out to Storrs. Crazy weather. Jay

Look to see if there are any mamattus clouds. The dark gray/almost black cloud deck which looks bubbled. Almost like it was the bottom of a spaceship. Saw that after the June 1, 2011 tornado for Springfield, even down in New Britain and Berlin.

Since Summer is over...Forgot to post this.. Here's a look at Summer Avg Temps for Bridgeport. Avg Temp was 74° this year. 5th warmest. (Yes I see the trend)

BDL was 73.5° (6th warmest)

Now that we're in September, interesting to note Hartford (BDL) hasn't had an Avg temp under 62° since 1984! Come on baby, lets do it this yr!

The last September Bridgeport had that ended up below normal was 2013. Avg temp was 65.2° . Normal is 66.2°. Big whoop.

The last September that was noticeably below normal was 2006. Here's how it looked. Nice! Max temps in the 60s a lot. 3 mornings in a row at 51, 47, 51. Cold.

And here's 1984, 6th coldest.. Last time it was well below. 7 mornings in the 40s! 2 days didn't pass 50s. 9 days in the 60s.
