This has moved into "nuisance snow" territory. Just enough to make it annoying for clearing the driveway but roads are basically ok enough to get out and do whatever I need to do.

Agree. Snow for "atmosphere" as I call it. We shouldn't even be calling this a storm. No, we'll reserve that term for the invariable 1-2 big events we'll see in March!

I'll agree that with hindsight this was definitely and "Advisory" and not "Warning" event.

Precip for 36hrs in a row. Lol. Front angled perfectly for this.

Anyway.. 26.1" this month in my backyard. Snowiest February since February 2014. Another 4 inches more and I'll have to dig back much further. Maybe 2003

Looks like you might have two shots at those 4 inches in February, this coming Monday (though trending towards rain or wet snow) and a week from tomorrow.

Finally! lol

Loop past 4hrs. Back edge finally arrived. 35hrs of precip. Snow showers still happening in Southern New England.

I can never get tired going to the snowboard and gauge and doing measurements. So much fun!


Wish I started in the 1980s though. That was a snowless decade. maybe 1990s would of been fun to see backyard stats on

A look at which Climo Locations in the U.S is the most above normal with snowfall to date

Congratulations Bridgeport.....


  • Bridgeport, CT normal snowfall is 19.3" to date, they have 43.3" which is 2 feet above normal. (Hartford is +10.2" above normal so they didn't make the list)
  • Lincoln Nebraska & Allentown, PA not far behind #1 spot Binghamton being 29"+ above normal.
  • 11 Northeast sites on here.
  • Islip makes the list being 15.4" above normal
  • 6 Locations from Nebraska on the list.
  • Pittsburgh is 6th most.
  • Little Rock Arkansas normal snowfall is 2.8" and they have 20.3"!
  • Abilene Texas normal snowfall to date is 3.9", they have 23.8"!
  • NORTH LITTLE ROCK, LA GUARDIA, NY, AMARILLO & SAN ANGELO Texas not far from the list
