You should come and visit this area first then make up your mind. Good luck!
Danbury has the highest amount of undocumented illegal immigrants of any city in Connecticut. Most are from Ecuador, the second being Brazil. Downtown and in the immediate surrounding area, crime has risen in the past 8 years.

Don't get me wrong - Danbury is still a very safe city (though not the safest city in CT!). Once you go immediately outside the grid surrounding downtown, Danbury is a wonderful place to call home. The schools could be much worse, and proximity to NYC is helping Danbury remain a professional, well-educated city.

ICE is attempting to take care of the illegal immigration problem - hopefully it will be resolved soon so we can bring back the Danbury I knew 10 years ago. Cleaner, safer, greener, and you can understand the names of the shops on Main Street!

For the price I would recommend a small house in the New Milford area. Its a bit more country, but you probably could find something in your range. Its a nice scenic area up there. It would be a short drive to Federal Correctional Facility there as well. Also, if its the Federal Prison, they offer housing to the correction officers to I believe.

I would love to hear some examples of "foreign" names. I know you wouldn't list a Portuguese name because of CT's many Portuguese enclaves(Waterbury, Danbury, Bridgeport) that have existed for many, many years. I don't think you could list a Spanish name since CT has had a large Puerto Rican population ever since the 1940's, never mind the many Puerto Rican politicians, lawyers, Doctors, etc....

Since when is it illegal for a child that is a US citizen to go to school?

Reason -

By foreign name, I meant that the name belongs to an illegal immigrant - most of the time, it even states this in the blotter. Check it out sometime. I'm sorry you misunderstood what I meant.

It's not illegal for a child to go to, but again, by illegally, I meant that their parents are illegally in this country. They come here and have children so they have a reason to stay here. They use the birth of their child to slip through loopholes. It happens very often in Danbury because of the large amount of illegals straining the city's infrastructure.
