Who's got a forecast map?

FYI.. funny how streets are dry couple hours after a 4 inch snowstorm in March.

This upcoming storm is going to be a sticky mess, just look at the surface temperatures...
This is why March snowstorms ≠ January snowstorms!

Stickier snow = more damage. As seen in last year's March 7th nor'easter. Saplings down everywhere.

So you're saying 2 days off of school vs 1.

I know you're being kind of "tongue in check" and I honestly do not think 2 days (we're not talking about 2 feet of snow and/or a major power outage situation, though the point about wetter, heavier snows in March is telling), but I would give it at least a 50% shot at 1 snow day for most districts.

Most FFC districts did not even delay yesterday (I believe only Greenwich and Ridgefield did) and it proved problematic. Where I work, I barely got there on time (because I live 30-40 minutes away I usually allow about 20 extra minutes for traffic) and about half the students and half the teachers were late. That alone might prompt a different response so soon after, especially since most districts have only used 1 or 2 snow days this year so there's not a big pressure in terms of the school year reaching the limits of June extension. I think if the forecast is still what it is at this point tomorrow, districts will actually pre-emptively close the night before for the most part.

The only way I see a delay over a closure Monday is either this is a dud and we only get 1-2 inches and rain after and/or it ends early enough overnight that they feel everything can be cleaned by mid-morning (down here in southern Westchester everything was pretty much cleaned up before noon and I even had a quick cleaning of my car and went out to do an errand, I have to admit I was pretty surprised by that as it looked pretty bad at 8am).

Here's the latest map, and NWS has expanded the Winter Storm Watch to the entire tri-state area (they didn't have it for the boros or LI until now):

Wide range on "high end" vs. "low end" though.....
