Mud season! Wabbit Season! Duck season! FIRE!

The cold front is through. It's dropped to 42 degrees and the wind is now WNW. The tally at Brainard is 2.16 inches.

How many inside runners since December 21st now? Or...was this just simply along a slow moving cold front?

I work in Wallingford. Crazy to see the river that high, doesn't even look like the damn that runs under Quinnipiac Street existed. I've only seen it like that once or twice before.

Next weeks precip has been trending with colder temps on both GFS and Euro. Less precip but more cold.

Latest Euro12z has a nice little snowstorm for Hartford. Marginal for the coast. Of course.

0.61" qpf all snow = 4-7" snowstorm

That would be nice, but NWS BOX seems to mention changing to rain? (which would fit the pattern of the 2018 - 19 winter so far )

You guys ready for the Polar Vortex?

Shouldn't last long. I think by following Monday we're back above normal. Enjoy the next 5 days. Might be some snow Tuesday and/or Wednesday

Before the polar nonsense:

Sunrise - 7:07 AM
Sunset - 4:59 PM
Length - 9H 52M

That's what timeanddate.com says for Hartford. weather.com has New Britain (06052) as 7:08 and 5:00, respectively. I'd think they'd be the same for being only 9 miles apart. Hmmm!

Cold again. Wind is light. Frost is minimal. Sun is out. It's not snowing or raining. Moving on...
