Totally agree with you. I think they had too many snow days and prayed that this would end early and the April sun angle would make it no big deal. I saw the mess out my window at 530am and having to drive there from Westchester I called out today. Roads still not wet/cleaned here, for April I'm shocked! NY schools got lucky and didnt have to worry about this as all the districts are on break this week.

A historic (probably postponed) Yankees home opener

Almost 4 inches of snow in Fairfield County and Weston and Redding have school closures. The snow rate is 1-2 inches per hour as 8:26 AM. Some schools have extend to 3 hours delays still no snow plow trucks anywhere.

I'm actually up in VT, so just watching the Chaos from afar.. about to hit the slopes.. I'll never understand why schools don't just automatically go to a 1-2 hour delay the night before a snow event and then make a call by 730am on if to close or not. Is it not that simple? What's the missing piece here?

Yes, in which case an hour or two delay would allow the time to see that happening and everyone could go in and not lose a day..

5 inches of snow officially some weather channels got this storm wrong again.
