Yesterday decided to drive to Northwest part of the state. Thought I was going to miss peak colors since this was the scene near me.

Redding

Ridgefield. About 20 min north of me.

Almost there. That's the hill I'll be hiking.
Less congestion in this area of Litchfield.

Almost there. Now past New Milford. Scenic road but I see some bare trees around...

Almost there... This stretch of road is sure past peak. Had colors 3 weeks ago when I was here. Getting worried I wasted a trip.. but can't be that bad. Can it?

Uh oh. Lots of leaves down. lets see from the Top

New Markers.

Top. Nice! Looks like at with some spots passed and even before peak. Facing MA here. I zoomed into that hill all the way back there and didn't see snow. It was drizzle at the time. Front had just passed but still in 40s here.

Awesome house to have with the hills not far.

Damn kids in the Tower. They still doing Grafitti? Isnt that like so 1980s?!

Back to car. Just a random large boulder.

Pretty. Sugar Maples, Beetch, Birch, Cherry leaves dropping. Oaks and Hickory still green and some young Maples and shrubs!

You made me want to go out and take a picture. This is from our deck looking towards the back. There is plenty of green in the oaks but the next few days should turn them. I really love this place!

Cool, yeah, Oaks are usually last and the September warmth had them going a little longer as with everything else.

Nice to see others posting in this thread. It's fall... show your CT colors folks.

Here's what Jones Family farm did to protect the pumpkins from the below freezing temps...
