These were the 2pm temps today April 5, 2016.

Those aren't clouds over NY/MA/CT/RI. That's snow on the ground

Impressive day across the region. Airmass aloft supported very little warmup at the surface despite the full sun. It was in the single digits at 4500'!

A RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE OF 9 DEGREES WAS SET AT SYRACUSE NY TODAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 15 SET IN 1982

Not ending... We'll moderate as normally do. Atmosphere is fluid and never stays still so the airmasses always fluctuate.

Left image is for this weekend. Cold is back.

Right image is for mid Next week. We do it again but not as deep.

Cold shot after cold shot. More below normal than above normal days to mid month. Will April end up below normal??
