Roads are rubbish in Wallingford. Can see from my office window. The drive home from work will also probably be rubbish, it's normally worse than here.

Look at the CT Panhandle. Blob of darker blues. Drove through some nice snows on Merritt.. Roads stayed wet. Plows were ready.

Snow started around 10. Heavy snow from 11 to 5. Now it's starting to slow down outside. Caught by surprise thought the storm would be in the afternoon and did errands during the morning. What a hoot the roads were a mess!

LOVE that stat!

Looks like its done here too. 10:30am-6pm. 2" of snow melted to 0.13" of water (15:1 ratios)

8.2" of snow this month in my backyard
14.0" for the season.

Might get some snow showers later on again.

Ride from Hartford to Middletown wasn't bad...some slush, a few spin-outs. Maybe about 4" in Hartford, 3" in Middletown.

Unreal.

Low & dirty

Feb 5-6 Storm Update:

GFS - Light snow, Flurries.
Canadian - Nada
Navy - Nada
Euro - Light snow

Doesn't look like this will be a noteworthy snow event. Fits the entire winter for sure. Still 5 days away but new trend and consistency is now uneventful

Feb 8-9 Storm/Front Update

RAIN, RAIN, RAIN (might be rain to snow)

Snow total reports from CT only for the Jan 31, 2017 Clipper

Looks like a general 1-3" but some areas got 3-4". On par with forecasts. Bridgeport (BDR) got a tiny bit more than Windsor Locks (BDL)

Radar loop 7pm Jan 30 to 6pm Jan 31

Map of snowfall totals from NWS Climo sites. Providence wins for Southern New England..
Grand Rapids, Detroit, Youngstown Ohio with 3"+

NYC (Central Park) 1.0". LaGuardia 1.2". JFK 0.6"

1 month to meteorological Spring! Can't wait.

3 maps..

Soon all that southern warmth will move north into us. We are still north of that front as usually are in Winter.

This weekend (The Feb 5-6 storm)

Next week (The Feb 8-9 rain storm)
