Are you sure that Hartford total isn't Bradley? Looks to be too far north for downtown Hartford.

Also, I know these periods or heavier rain aren't doing as much as we'd think. I know when I walk over Willow Brook later at the New Britain/Berlin town line that the level will look nearly the same as it did about 48 hours ago. It makes it run higher for a couple of hours, then it settles right back down again.

I'm certain, however, that if New Britain and much of southern Hartford County receive another big deluge today like in the past 72 hours, that we'd go from the second color to the first color on the drought monitor maps. The data for those maps cuts off around 8 AM Eastern on Tuesdays.

I agree, plus southern Hartford County missed out on the bulk of the rain Sunday morning. Most of the heavy stuff was up around BDL.

Take note of Hartford. And Rochester.

What else do you guys see?

SRCC Map
I did some lookups and its interesting about BDL. In addition to that 10 straight they had 17 90+ days this July. Must be close to a record, I know for NYC it's 20 of them in July, 1993. But what's weird is not-too-far-away Worcester only had 2 of them last month (Boston had 12, Providence 9 and NYC 10).

Rochester's number is strange too compared to Buffalo and Binghamton....

Yes, Bradley. It's shorter to type Hartford than Windsor Locks and everyone knows where Hartford is in general plus it "IS" called Hartford by NWS anyway. lol I know, it's annoying.

Gees you're good.

Number of days hitting 90°+ in month of July since 1905

Bridgeport tied 4th most for July with 8 last month

Boston 4th most 90s for July with 12 last month.

Providence tied 3rd most 90s with 9 last month.

Absolutely a mess of a drive from Hartford to Lowell, MA this morning. Heavy rain almost the whole way, and I almost hate the combo of rain, spray, and tractor-trailers worse than driving in snow!
