I am in NW Rhode Island and my home is 500 feet from the Putnam line. We still have nearly 30 inches on the ground. Today it did shrink a good 4-5 inches as I now see a back yard bench that I couldn't see yesterday.
Amazingly after light rain and fog I'm still at 12" of snow on ground. Ranges from 10-14" in spots around. Piles definitely lower and nothing under my big Spruce tree.

Thank You. Today a big day for melting but next week a hault with teens/20s returning
Is your snowpack that you are measuring in the shade or mostly in the sun?
Thank for keeping such close tabs. In Glastonbury where I live, its hard to find an accurate spot that is free of drifts.
Its in about 2hrs of sun which is ideal. Not all shade. Not all sun. Trick is to either find an open area OR just take a couple measurements and get an average. You might have a big range but you'll have an idea how much is on the ground in spots.
OR go into a neighbors yard and measure.
You can shovel a path to the open area and then stretch your arm to get a measurement in the snow. This way your not walking ankle deep into the area.
There's just one spot I been using the whole time. Currently 11.5" now.
Don't know when, but I'm glad it's going. Just found a package I was waiting for a month ago in the snow bank by my mailbox. Looks like UPS driver threw it there, and then the street plows plowed more snow on top of it. Lol.. I've been digging around the drifts by my front door for weeks, never thought it was in the one on the street.
Was in East Haven yesterday and it seems pretty well melted, lots of visible lawns. Drove home to Wallingford and we still have 12", just a few peaks of grass along the driveway edge.
