Don't know how to read this for here in NYC --- less chance for much snow, I'm sure, but the ice aspect? Could this be a crippling mess of a storm for the tri-state?

Anyone take a look at the current Surface Pressure map? That High Presure IS NOT supposed to be in that position! WTF. That should be east more so the storm is blocked from coming north more. This is frustrating.

This is why when models injested the new data each time they picked up on the north flow with the storm because that HP in Canada wasn't going to be over Ontario/Quebec! Now it's all coming into play. Storm needs to start moving East A.S.A.P. It's still moving NNE

Lets see what happens. Just not liking what Im seeing. JP03 is right about starting to lower snow totals now. .. maybe.

Nobody has listened to the GFS past 5 runs in a row, I don't want to either.

Euro was still cold enough for snow/ice. Not Snow/Rain like GFS says.

NWS Boston.

I'm at 35° right now.
27° here on the Davis station. Huge variation for a single town!!!

Interesting. Not that I don't believe you but I would check the location of that. Is it near the snowpack too much? Can you put 2 other thermeters near it to make sure its not that station? Sometimes you have to add/subtract a degree to calibrate it to the actual temp.

Current Temps... Mid 30s NYC/Long Island. Pretty much 30s everywhere in CT except Oxford and in Litchfield County and few other local spots in northern CT.

I have another thermometer that validated 28° both are 2m above ground/surface. Lots of ice still on the driveway so that also indicates below 32. Altitude playing a role?

Could be a slight valley there between 2 hills? Danbury at 31 so not sure it's about altitude. 28° is believable actually. Not that far off.

So what's that going to mean in terms of "what's the weather going to be like along the I-91 corridor?"

EURO WENT WARM. I repeat... Euro bows once again to the American and Canadian models. BUT HANG ON!

It now shows the warmer mid level air coming in. Still snows 4-6"+ before the change.

Euro00z on the left, latest 12z on the right for Danbury. Surface stays below freezing. Concerning about sleet and ice in areas where they cant warm up especially with a fresh snowpack.
