Actually, #11 should have ranked higher than it did compared to some of those "top 10" towns. But again, the list is garbage.

There's a big emphasis on salary to expense ratio, which is important for families. But I do agree that a few options are iffy.

No, It's called "Wallingford Center" not even the entire town. Maybe just the area around Choate is what they included. IDK

I'm going to have to call BS on this list. No way Bristol is better than Avon or even Farmington.

Again, since it's a financial site and there's an emphasis on "young" families - I would bet that Avon and Farmington are not on the list due to the earning to expense ratio.

There's a big emphasis on income growth too. When you look at towns like Trumbull, Milford, Shelton - they've had a bigger uptick in income. Avon and Farmington have always been pretty consistently upper middle class.

That said, Darien doesn't exactly fit that mold.

I gotcha. I guess it makes a bit of sense.

Wish I could be part of the young families able to afford Darien or Westport.

It isn't fair to compare it to those 2 though. The $$$ dynamics are quite different. If you want to compare Avon/Farmington to something on that list, Darien/Westport would be better(but definitely not ideal either) to compare with.
