Malloy had no problem disrupting the liquor industry. Why? Fragmented independents. Sold them down the river to help the big box....Total wine etc....

Dealers have more $$ than Tesla who could run out of cash in a few yrs

I am happy to save the money, but corporate utility savings aren't being passed to customers as you stated.
No I surmised that in addition to the proposed rate drops, other industries,I specifically mentioned insurance, who tax rates are falling from 35 to 21 percent, might drop premiums. In fact, I think it is likely.

Liquor licenses are a local political patronage handout. As a consumer, I want the option of buying at a high volume business with corresponding low prices.

Tax Reform Isn't Over -- Here Come The States
https://www.forbes.com/sites/joeharp.../#2992ca3e13da

"Connecticut is in the mix, too. Kevin B. Sullivan, the state tax commissioner, explained that legislators are currently looking at replacing at least part of the state income tax with an employer tax or a scheme to turn the income tax into “voluntary contributions” from residents to the state."

Did anyone hear about this? Is this a joke?

This isn’t the first time I heard something simlair to this. Last year CT had this idea of voluntary contributions to the state to close the budget fall.

It depends on insurance. They won't automatically drop. They will only drop when one company decides to have a price war and the others bleed customers other then that it will dimply go to share holders.
My prediction is your rates will mostly stay the same.

Insurance is one of the most competitive industries in the country, rates will go down.
