Basically, take whatever Geoff Fox says, and toss it out the window. The actual weather will be something else. Might be more, or less - but it will be something other than what Geoff Fox Says. That has always been my method, and I'm usually right

Usually, I agree, but he was spot on during the last 2 events. He called for 3 feet of snow in Southern CT while everyone else was calling for 18-24".

My response to that: Fox cheated and read Cambium's posts on CD.

Amazing how the Storm is crawling already moving northeastward, while the rain and snow bands are moving West, SW, South and tight rotation around Virgina Beach. I'm worried about this slow movement and stall near us but some meteos fixed on more rain than snow.

Ocean effect snow/rain showers over MA/CT/RI

Snow started here about ten minutes ago (8:55). Started off as rain and now all snow.

Forgot where you are but thats probably the ocean effect snows. Moisture coming in off the ocean. Some say easterly winds bring warm air, I tried to tell them this time easterly winds will bring moisture off the Atlantic and enhance snow fall because its running into cold air.

Rain/snow moves in after lunch but LIGHT...

Everyone should be all snow after 6pm.
Heavy stuff starts after 9pm.

Looks like it will be a long duration of light snow.

I'm on the Hartford/Litchfield county line, up about 1100 feet.

Light snow, not sticking, coming in waves.
