You can't hear 95 any more than you can hear it in many neighborhoods of Milford, or any shoreline town for that matter.

Guilford is close to be eliminated, Me thinks it is really 50 minutes , and honestly, I think me might be happier in the Southport to Milford area.

Stylo, thats a great map, thanks, i will show it to my wife tonight. I had dinner at a Basque restaurant in downtown Milford the other night, it was very very good, which is actually hard for me to say most times...great french prepared cuisine, basque style...

Can you actually hear the 95 on the sea side of 95 in Southport?
Bistro Basque is one of my favorite restaurants in CT.

Downtown is wonderful in the warm months.

Agreed. It definitely has excellent nightlife in the summer.

Wasn't suggesting otherwise. I'm over a mile south of 95 and still hear it when the wind is blowing in right direction, especially in winter.

I can hear it on a quiet night a few hundred feet from the water in Branford.

Trust me. Within a few years of finishing that bridge, traffic will be just as bad as it is now. It's always the same with urban sprawl. People will just move farther and farther from work thinking commute time is less and then the same traffic problems will reappear.

I'm just about 2 miles south of 95 on the shoreline in Guilford and I can still hear 95 on a quiet night. I think the CT shoreline is just high traffic in general. Between I-95 and the Northeast Corridor, you're going to hear some sort of transportation noise wherever you live.
