I came across some incredible photos while researching Guilford online. Most are of Guilford, with some Branford, Madison, Clinton and New Haven as well. Since I am unsure about copyright issues and such I won't post a direct link; just go to flickr.com and in the search window type in slack12. The photos are phenomenal, but keep in mind these are digitally color enhanced; I love the photographers perception of her hometown.

I did a little digging and the only issue with copyright is if you want to use the photo in some way. Then you just have to contact the photographer personally to ask their permission. But just to view them, or to reference the photographer and flickr is not an issue

BTW, if you click on slack12's username it will take you to her photo albums; Coastal Connecticut is the album I looked at. Very beautiful.

Default All's Well!

I just got an email response from slack12 (what a lovely person!) and she is actually a he! Anyway, he has no problem being mentioned on this board and has given his permission. To the powers that be, I can forward his email if you need verification.

Here is the link:

Enjoy!

The Connecticut coastline is so beautiful and charming. We are going on a cruise of the Thimble Islands off Branford tonight. Too bad the weather looks iffy. For those of you that don't know, the Thimble Islands is a series of small islands off the shore of Branford. Over the years, homes have been built on them. Some large, some small. All are beatiful and interesting to see. I would highly recommend taking a tour one day. Jay

We went on the cruise last nght and we were sooooo lucky. There were thunderstorms all around us, but we did not get a drop of rain. It was soooo beautifule to cruise this area. I highly recommend it. Jay

Jay I wish I could find the time to fit that cruise into my schedule when I fly out there Tuesday. Maybe I'll luck out and the first house I see is the house I'll buy. Can you give me any info on the cruise; i.e. do you have to reserve in advance?
