Does the Zillow and Trulia history show when it was listed and for how long? If so, if someone in the spring of 2012 saw that it was listed in the fall/winter of 2011 and then pulled, they'd realize that it was just a lousy time to have a house on the market and that the owner -- smartly -- pulled it off until spring.

The home we purchased was listed on and off with various realtors. We used it in negotiation. If they dig for it they'll find it. Even if you scrub the Internet there are still neighbors, realtors who will remember it and anyone who has been searching a while will remember it. We looked so long it always gave us a chuckle when the same house went away and came back. I figure...you're either selling or you're not...pick one and get it done.

Agree on bad pics. I don't know how many homes don't have bathroom or kitchen pics. We'd go to look and find out in a highend they used linoleum. Or the kitchen was remodeled and they had 10 pics but none of the 70's bathroom. Pictures would have saved us so much time. Don't try to hide old fixtures with an absent pic.
