Seeing as I am at school all the doggone I just use the schools version (CS2 of Illustrator for my designs. Here's my problem though, the one I have installed on my computer at home is getting on my nerves.

It's the same product just an older version (10), but when I am trying to draw with the pen tool I get these long lines that pop up as well so I can't see my points while I am drawing.

Does anyone have any idea on what I am talking about? I have the book that I got with my class at school but so far it isn't helping me with the version I have at home.

Not familiar with Illustrator, but I used a program some time ago that had a cursor setting like that. The cross hairs covered the whole screen side-to-side and top-to-bottom. If this is what you are seeing look in preferences for cursor controls.

You know what? you are fabulous!

I didn't even think to look at the darn preferences. I played around a little bit and my problem is gone.

Thank you very much

You are welcome. It's nice to know that 25 years of playing, uh working, with computers has some useful results.
