I've had ADSL and ADSL2+. VDSL is a newer, faster one.
Can you comment on the other types of DSL? Look at the chart below.
Are some of these rarely used? Or only used in certain parts of the world?

The chart doesn't have ADSL2+ nor VDSL2. I guess those are varieties of basic types.

RADSL is what USWest rolled out in the Twin Cities initially back in 1999 (640k down, 256k up) when they were handing out Cisco 675's to those of us who wanted to be early adopters.

A more complete chart would include more detail - also, the diff between ADSL and ADSL2+, etc.
I was disappointed wikipedia has no list.

Did Digital subscriber line - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and its underlying links not work for you ?

Or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...of_kHz_wide.29

Another you may find useful http://whatis.techtarget.com/referen...-Line#dslsumry

My area has Verizon FIOS and Verizon copper line service.
If you have DSL, you can keep it. [dial up & DSL not compatible with FIOS]
If you give it up, you can't get it back.
If you are an old or new customer and want DSL, they will not give it to you.
