I noticed the new DSL discounts from ATT and wondering if anyone in the Cary 27519 area can vouch for the service. I have TWC RR and quite happy with the service but at $40 vs $14.95 I have to ask if the DSL service is any good. Of course its tied to a 1 year contract. My TWC Roadrunner rarely goes out, like maybe once every 8-10 months or so.

Any feed back to ATT DSL quality, up times and speeds is appreciated

Interested in the FastAccess® DSL Direct 6.0M for $20
Downstream Speed: up to 6.0 Mbps
Upstream Speed: up to 512 Kbps
IP Address: 1 Dynamic

I am also holding out hoping we get uVerse soon

In 27519 with AT&T DSL. Service is very reliable - in 3 years we've never had an outage. Speeds are generally as advertised. I've never had TWC, so I can't really say how it compares, but we're happy with the price and the performance. Still waiting for u-verse to come to West Cary.

I'm in 27519 and on the FastAccess DSL Direct 3.0 plan. Here's my speed test.

I've used ATT DSL for the past 2 and half years and the only problem that I've had is the DSL modem dying. I'm on my third one. But the service is reliable--I've never experienced an outage.

I'm not in that zip code but thought I'd add my .02... I signed up for the $14.95 deal early in October (maybe the 5th or so?) and was told it would be hooked up the 13th. It was actually hooked up the 12th but, after 4 calls to the technical support, is still not working and I have to wait until the 25th (between 4pm and MIDNIGHT) for a technician to actually come out to see what's going on. Saving money will be nice, but it's been a headache so far!

My ATT dsl was out for over 4 straight days a couple months ago (27539) - an area outage, not just mine.

We went from TWC to AT&T. We will be switching back next month. We have had quite a few outages and it is slow as hell. Oh, and TWC's customer service is way better than AT&T. I live in the 27511 zip code.

We just got ATT's Uverse on Saturday.

So far, so good! Computers are FASTER and TV has tons more channels, for the price we were paying Time Warner.

Having lived here for over 35 years, we have ALWAYS had time warner for TV. And we are ALWAYS sick of them!!!
