I can not log onto my e-mail (hotmail) with my laptop. I have no problem when I log on with my desktop. The problem started a few days ago. Can you help me. Thanks.

Sure.

Let's start with some basic questions.

Is your password saved to your web browser? In other words, do you have to type it in, or is it automatically filled in?

Do you get to your email with an email client like Outlook, or do you use a web browser?

I type my password in each time. I do use the web browser.

Ok. There is absolutely no reason why you can get in with one computer and not the other. Are you going to the same link each time? https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa=...cxt=mai&snsc=1

Can you try a different web browser? What browser are you using on both systems? (again, this shouldn't matter...I'm just trying to see if we can replicate it with another browser). So if you are using Internet Explorer, can you try it with FireFox? You can get online and browse to other web pages, right?

The link that you attached is the one I use on the laptop and desktop, just doesn't work on the laptop.

Hotmail does a couple of re-directs during the login process. I've had times when the network connection is slow enough that using a browser to access it will fail, while on the same computer Dream mail will pull it up and download the messages without a problem. In your case, I would do the usual - clear the cache in the browser, verify security settings, reboot and try again.

You're welcome. Like the other person suggested, you may want to clear your cache, cookies and then restart the computer. Sometimes you see funky stuff and a reboot will clear them up
