I am having a strange problem with iTunes. Every track for audio books that were purchased via. the iTunes store will cut off after approx. seven minutes. The next track will start playing, as if the track has ended. This problem is present when the book is played on the computer, or on the iPod. The problem is limited to books that were purchased via. the iTunes Store. Books that were ripped directly from CDs, and other tracks that are longer than 7 minutes are not cutting off.

The computer that we are using is "authorized" with the AppleID account. We have also tried a soft reset on the iPod, which was not effective.

Any other ideas?

Contact the iTunes store, and they will take care of the problem for you.

I tried requesting help from Apple Support, but they want to charge me for a "
"one-time incident."

According to the info you had given in your first post, it didn't seem like an issue with iTunes on your computer or anything related to your system or even iPod. To me, this is clearly an issue with the books you have purchased so they should either help you for free or provide replacement/refund for the purchased media that are cutting off.

If you download books or songs from the iTune's store and either ones are corrupted or malfunctioning, they allow you to download them all over again. But you have to tell them that the items you have downloaded don't work. You don't contact Apple Support for this, but the iTunes Store.

But you may want to look at some of these issues here:

I'll try contacting the iTunes store directly.

One thing I forgot to add: the audiobooks played fine until recently. I am not sure why each track started cutting off after 7 min.
